What is Home Health Care?

Home Health Care Services are especially designed to assist those patients who are largely confined to their home by illness or convalescence. The program is administered by the Alexander County Health Department for Alexander county residents.

Our staff is well trained and experienced... and, above all, they are committed to helping patients maintain a high level of physical and emotional well-being within the family environment.
How Can I Obtain Home Health Care?

There are 3 basic requirements to qualify for Home Health Care:

1. patient must be essentially homebound.
2. patient must be in need of skilled care and/or health education.
3. patient must have a referral from his or her physician.

However, requests for Home Health Care can be made by physicians, family, friends, hospitals and other organizations or agencies.
How Are Bills Paid?

Our staff will work with you to determine the appropriate method of payment. Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, V.A: Workmen's Compensation and other sources are available
