Heritage Care Assisted Living is a part of a network of facilities serving Northeastern North Carolina and Southeastern Virginia.

Located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on the Pasquotank River, only a few miles from the storied Outer Banks, Heritage Care provides a range of services that enable aged and disabled men and women to enjoy the highest quality of life regardless of their degree of infirmity.

Heritage Care has a staff-to-resident ratio that exceeds North Carolina State requirements. Turnover among staff members is extremely low, and many of the caregivers have been employed at Heritage Care for 10 years - or more.

Heritage Care is licensed for 60 residents. In addition, it has 36 one and two-bedroom apartments for those who need some of the services provided by the Assisted Living Facility, but who are able to live more independently.

For some 25 years, the Administrator of Heritage Care has been Mrs. Janne Mills, who has assembled a professional staff that she believes is unmatched in the concern and compassion they have for the residents
