ABOUT US

High Country Health Care System is a non-profit, private, community based, home health care organization that has been in the business of providing home health services to Alleghany, Ashe and Watauga counties for over 30 years. We operate through a joint venture of Ashe Memorial Hospital and Appalachian District Health Department. High Country Health Care System is accredited by the Joint Commission.

HOME HEALTH SERVICES

Registered Nurses available 24/7 every day make regularly scheduled visits and are available by phone 24/7 every day of the year

Certified Nursing Assistants provide care for the patient during recovery as needed

Physical Therapists help patients regain physical independence following orthopedic surgery procedures and other illnesses to regain strength and endurance in the comfort of their home

Occupational Therapists help patients regain the ability to perform tasks of everyday living

Speech Therapists provide cognitive and speech therapy to help patients regain control over their ability to communicate
