As a ministry of the Carolina Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Pisgah Valley, a licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community, has set a high standard for quality of life and quality of care for our residents since 1975. Our commitment to changing traditional nursing home care is evidenced by incorporating The Eden Alternative into our facility. We nurture our residents in a warm, home-like environment in which pets, children and plants are an integral part of daily life. The program has been proven to reduce medication usage and promote overall wellness and enhance quality of life.

Wellness Center
Pisgah Wellness Center: Optimize Health & Well-Being in a Fully-Equipped Fitness Center

Pisgah Wellness Center is a fully-equipped fitness center available to our residents, with memberships open to the public. The facility features a 15' by 30' therapy pool, whirlpool, dry sauna, a full circuit of nautilus strength training equipment, aerobic equipment, wellness classes and workshops, massage therapy and water aerobics. 2009 brings renovated, larger locker rooms and additional showers. Our therapists create an active and progressive rehabilitation plan for each individual patient.

Aquatic therapy can help a patient in the following ways:

* Increase joint range of motion and strength
* Increase endurance
* Increase balance and coordination
